Who We Are

Information We Collect

• Information you give us through our forms: your name, email address, phone number, city and state, military background, program interests, equipment details and anything you write in a message.
• Program records for participants, including intake information, training records and equipment issued.
• Basic website data. Our host, Netlify, records standard request data such as pages viewed and general location. We do not use advertising trackers.
• Donation information. Online gifts are processed by Zeffy. We receive donor name, contact information and gift amount. We never see or store your full card or bank account number.

How We Use It

• To answer your request and enroll you in programs
• To coordinate equipment donations, pickups and issuance
• To send program updates, event notices and, if you opt in, text messages
• To acknowledge donations and meet IRS and grant reporting requirements
• To report totals and outcomes to funders, in aggregate and without identifying you

We Do Not Sell Your Information

C4I does not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text message consent with anyone for their own marketing.

When We Share Information

• Service providers that operate our systems, such as our website host, form and email providers, text message provider and Zeffy for donations. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Screening. Adults who work with youth are screened through Checkr, Inc., with their written authorization.
• When required by law, including the reporting duties described in our Youth Protection Policy.
• With your permission, for example an introduction to an employer or partner.

Text Messages

Text messaging consent is separate and optional. It is never a condition of receiving services or donating. See our Text Message Terms for details, including how to stop messages.

Children and Youth

Participants under 18 join YouthTech 5.0 only with a signed parent or guardian consent form. We collect the minimum information needed to run the program safely, and we do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13. Parents may ask us to review or delete their child’s information at any time.

How We Protect Information

Records are kept on access-controlled systems, and paper forms are stored securely. Only staff and volunteers who need the information can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so we do not ask for sensitive identifiers such as Social Security numbers through our web forms.

How Long We Keep It

We keep program and donation records as long as needed for the program and for tax, grant and audit purposes, then dispose of them securely. Inquiry records that do not lead to participation are deleted when they are no longer useful.

Your Choices

• Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it
• Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in our messages
• Stop text messages by replying STOP or by contacting us
• Ask us not to use your name or photo in our materials
