Disaster Response

When infrastructure fails, C4I veterans answer the call — re-establishing communications and technical capability for the communities and responders who need it most.

Why Veterans

The People Who Already Know How to Operate Without Infrastructure

Every disaster produces the same second-order crisis: the network is down, the cell sites are saturated, the shelter has no connectivity, and nobody can file a claim, find a family member or request assistance.

Military communicators solve this problem for a living. They are trained to establish and maintain communications in austere conditions, on a schedule, under stress, with whatever equipment is on hand. C4I organizes that capability into deployable teams and makes it available to the organizations already working the response.

We work alongside, not in place of — established response organizations, emergency management agencies and local authorities. Our teams deploy at the request and under the coordination of the agencies running the incident.

Capabilities

  • Emergency communications setup for shelters and command posts
  • Temporary network and connectivity restoration
  • Device triage, imaging and technical support for responders
  • Equipment staging, transport and accountability
  • Coordination with the Laptop Relief program for affected households

Deployment Cycle

How a C4I Team Deploys

01 · Request

An emergency management agency, response organization or local government requests support.

02 · Assess

We scope the technical requirement. Confirm coordination and identify what equipment must move.

03 · Deploy

A team of vetted veteran volunteers deploys with staged equipment and a defined mission.

04 · Hand Off

Capability is transitioned back to local providers, and after-action findings are documented.

Volunteer

Deploy With Us

We are building a roster of veterans willing to deploy on short notice. Communications, network, systems, logistics and power backgrounds are all useful, and so is anyone willing to move equipment and follow a plan.

  • Veterans and transitioning service members of any branch
  • Ability to deploy for a defined period on short notice
  • Background screening required prior to roster placement
  • C4I covers deployment logistics; volunteers are not charged
